Michael has served the Church for over 30 years and is currently the Secretary for Evangelization and Pastoral Planning for the Diocese of Providence. An experienced presenter and teacher, he holds a master’s degree in theology from Providence College.

Michael is married to Lori, and they are the blessed parents to 8 children. The Lavignes are parishioners at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
